Chip | Parallel Piles | 9 Stop Zones
Short Game

Chip | Parallel Piles | 9 Stop Zones

35 min

Align a bucket of balls (avg. bucket is 40 balls) into 10 equal parallel piles of 4 balls and stop chip shots inside 9 Stop Zones. Count the number of successful stops.

  • How to practice? For the bucket of 40 balls, make 5 piles of 4 balls per one parallel line; 2 lines of 5 piles; lines [5-10 y/m apart], piles [2 y/m apart]. Place the piles on any grass, any slope, anywhere between 5 y/m and 30 y/m from the hole (not the green). On the green, use buckets, string lines or tees to mark 9 stop zones where to stop the ball. Hit 2-4 chip shots alternately from pile to pile. In the process, hit to different stop zones and count the number of successful stops.
  • Hit two buckets in total.
