Bump’n’Run | Parallel Ball Lines | 3 Landing Zones
Short Game

Bump’n’Run | Parallel Ball Lines | 3 Landing Zones

35 min

Align a bucket of balls next to the green (avg. bucket is 40 balls) into 2 parallel lines – 20 balls per line and hit-and-land bump’n’run shots inside landing zones. Count the number of successes.

  • How to practice? For the bucket of 40 balls, make 2 parallel ball lines of 20 balls per line; lines [5-10 y/m apart], balls [1ft | 30cm apart]. Setup on any grass, any slope, anywhere from 1 to 10 y/m to the green and 5 to 30 y/m from the hole. At the starting edge of the green, use alignment sticks, clubs, or string lines to form 3 landing zones [6 ft | 2 m] apart. Hit 3-5 bump’n’run shots in a row to the same landing zone, then jump to the other ball line and hit 3-5 shots to a different landing zone. Count the number of successful lands.
  • Hit two buckets in total.
